    Steam sterilization technology

Autoclave sterilization is a unique technological advantage of Likan Yuan, with product quality metrics meeting international standards. Individually packaged, autoclave-sterilized products are safe, thoroughly sterile with no residual contaminants, and leave no environmental impact. Upon entering the operating room, the packaging can be opened and the product used directly, eliminating the need for additional preoperative sterilization.

Autoclaving: Moist heat sterilization refers to a sterilization method that uses saturated steam, boiling water, or circulating steam, with high-temperature, high-pressure steam as the sterilizing medium. Due to the steam’s large latent heat and strong penetrating power, it readily causes protein denaturation or coagulation, ultimately leading to the death of microorganisms.

Currently, manufacturers of sterilized medical dressings in developed countries generally employ steam sterilization under high pressure. However, due to technological gaps and design flaws in healthcare processes, developing countries predominantly rely on ethylene oxide (ETO) sterilization, which suffers from significant drawbacks: residual contamination and environmental pollution.

With the growing awareness of environmental protection, continuous advances in medical technologies, and evolving healthcare practices—particularly the increasing restrictions on antibiotic use—high-pressure steam sterilization holds vast potential for future development in China.
